MPPSC to send OMR sheets to 60,000 candidates in 10 days
Indore : In a first, Madhya Pradesh Public Service Commission would provide copies of optical mark reading (OMR) sheets in next 10 days to nearly 60,000 candidates who took state public service preliminary exam held on January 24.
“Around 60,000 candidates of total 2.45 lakh registered for the civil service preliminary exam had applied for seeing their OMR sheets. We will make copies of the response sheets available to all the eligible candidates within next 10 days,” said MPPSC secretary Manohar Dubey.
As the MPPSC has already made the model answer keys available on its website, these candidates would be able to review their performances in the exam with the help of OMR sheet copies.
In a landmark decision that is aimed at bringing more transparency to its examination process, the MPPSC had introduced this new facility from civil service exam-2015.
To avail a copy of the OMR sheet, all a candidate was required to do was pay a fee of Rs 50 along with the registration fee for the examination.
“Till date, the candidates need to use the Right to Information Act to obtain a copy of the OMR sheet. But they can now obtain the same by paying a nominal charge,” Dubey said.
MPPSC to email response sheets
The MPPSC said that the response sheets would be sent to the candidates through email. “We will send response sheets to the candidates through e-mail,” Dubey said adding that they had taken e-mail addresses of the students during the registrations. There was a column for e-mail ID in the registration form. “We have e-mails ID of all the candidates who registered for the exam,” Dubey said.
